Notes
367 pages. Summary: Bo Mitchell is in Year 11 at a country high school with little on his mind except footy and friends. Aurora (Rory) Wild has grown up on a nearby commune and is attending 'normal' high school for the first time. Rory belongs to an 'off the grid' radical environmental community, and Bo is initially intrigued by her community's 'no footprint' philosophy. Meanwhile the council is planning to demolish the local skate park and Bo and his friends decide to organise a 'WhiteNight' event as a fundraiser to save the park. As Bo is drawn away from his friends and towards Rory he gradually comes to believe that the commune is not a utopia after all, and that their goal to go 'off the grid' may be more permanent -- and more dangerous -- than anyone could have predicted
