Summary: Fifteen-year-old Tony travels the country as part of the carnival sideshow his alcoholic father, Charlie, owns. Tony takes on much of the responsibility for running the show. Over a single season, he discovers that his girlfriend has been abused by her father, and he also learns the shocking reason for his father's alcoholism
