Summary: Known in Nantucket as a crazy woman, Nan doesn't care what people think. At sixty-five years old, widowed for 20 years, why shouldn't she do just what she wants? When she discovers that she is running out of money and could lose her beloved house, Nan decides to rent rooms for the summer. People start moving into the house, filling it life, and Nan finds her family expanding. Her son comes home for the summer, and then an unexpected visitor turns all their lives upside-down
